If I were an american reporter, and I threw my shoes at a leader in an Islamic country, how would I be treated?

The laws in the Middle Eastern nations are very different from ours in the west. If you as an American through your shoes at say Armadinajad (the leader of Iran and I probably misspelled his name) you would be lucky to retain your head. In these nations the throwing of shoes is considered an extreme insult so by throwing his shoes at President Bush while he was with the President of Iraq he not only insulted President Bush he insulted Iraq. To make things worse he was not a resident of Iraq, he was an Egyptian. Of course the man is in jail. He will stay there until he is deported.
