How much does blue book/previous owners/title effect a trade in value?

What effect does blue book have on trading in a car? Also if a car had 2 previous owners and was involved in an accident in 05. We bought a car that isnt 4wheel drive, we live in snow country and need a 4 wheel drive big time. We were careless with our purchase and now need to act pronto. So what effect does all this have on trading in. I know were going to have to take a loss,,but how much I wonder. We bought an 03 Sequioa for 10,800 and it is in excellent condition honestly. Only 86,000 and clean. So it blue books at or around the same price. I know a dealership will lower the price to get their money, but we need out of this car and we need to start fresh. Please help if you can.
