Amv problem?

please help i am a very desperate person and i love anime and i will love anime untill the day i die. i try to make amvs but nomatter where i download episodes they wont even show up(when i go to the import window it is'nt there) when i try to import them into windows movie maker(i recently upgraded to wmm 2).i've downloaded millions of codecs and converters and the only one that worked was total video converter and it was only a 15 day trial.is there any converter(or website)that 100% works.If anyone can help me i will be really gratefull, i will put your name in all my amvs(real name,yahoo name, whatever) and i want to mention that i will show my amvs at anime conventions. and i will also put you on my myspace,youtube,deviantart,yah... forums,animeforums as the person that helped me out in one of the hardest situations in my life(again i will put in real name,yahoo name,whatever you want)
